Seville St. Augustine
With its ability to grow in areas of little sunlight, Seville sod is a semi-dwarf grass used throughout the southeastern United States.
Another vigorous sod, Seville has an excellent horizontal compact growth due to its semi-dwarf composition, and requires less mowing than most grasses.
While Seville sod is one of the highest ranked shade-tolerant St. Augustine grasses, it also grows well in full sunlight.
Seville sod will prove its worth when those cold snaps come along because it has an excellent tolerance to cold weather.
It retains its color and, when warm weather returns, it shows its true green again with only moderate fertilizer.
